Three makes a collection....

I love old rocking horses! I have three of them, that makes a collection right? I have one in my dinning room, living room and bedroom...the first one I found a long time ago at a garage sale for ten dollars! (those were the days) and the other two I found at flea markets. What do you collect?

This is where the junk I find is brought to life...again, it is small. It is a one car garage that has never had a car parked in it...sound familiar? my husband gave up on the idea of parking a car in there years ago.

Where woman create...

This is where I create...it might be small but BIG things happen in there! well, maybe not that big. I am a basic seamstress. I make pillows, purses, and all the window coverings in my home have been made by me...I do love my little nook, I found my old ironing board cupboard (which is unfolded in the picture) at a estate sale and it fits perfectly in my small space. The table that holds my sewing machine was originally to big so I got out the sabre saw and cut it down to fit! I am woman.......

Oh Baby!

This is my great niece Addison ( and I mean GReat!). Since I decided to take some time away from my antique business, I am honored to be taking care of this little sweetie...I am so glad her parents have given me this time to spend with her, she will be staying with me until she is 16 months old (she is three months now) and then she will be joining her big sister Karissa at a daycare center. My baby (our cat) is not exactly happy about this new arrival...

just needed some Easter

2006 Easter at my house for thirty people, I love all the preparations especially creating the tables..and then when it comes to the actual holiday I could pretty much get in the car and leave for the day and let my husband take over...I am more into creating the effect not the entertaining. It is exhausting. I have a large family and a small house...all kidding aside I am truly blessed by my family...all 30 of them!I really need to revisit these photos today...-40 windchill. But I am going to ignore this fact and venture out with my sister and my Mom and do a little shopping and lunch. We are hearty. we are tough. ugh!

Summer Spell

it is -2 degrees this morning...scenes of my screen porch. last summer....during a heat wave. I think I remember how that felt.
