Rearranging...

Doing a little rearranging today...Does your house have the blues? mine is looking pretty bare. So with a fresh new year, I started with clearing everything off my mantel's and starting over...not really buying new stuff but mixing it up a bit. I am taking things from upstairs and mixing them in downstairs. I used my ironstone on my mantel in the dinning room. And I added some fret work I had in my back entryway to my living room mantel. Next on my list ... the dinning room harvest table! Sometimes it just feels good to clear everything out and start over again.

We haven't even taken our Christmas stuff down yet. Hopefully over the weekend we can get all of our gifts put away and the tree down.
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Gail! It always feels good to do some rearranging and change up the decor. I'm still working on taking down my Christmas stuff. But I'm looking forward to doing some new decorating myself.

I just discovered your blog this evening and was taken by that beautiful barn star. Very pretty! I need to get busy on taking down all the Christmas decor...what a chore!

Have a great 2008!

I love borrowing things from one area of my house to use in another! I think it gives you a whole new perspective on your own things. It makes them new once again. I don't have the holiday blues yet in the house as I am just today working on taking down Christmas things. I will leave the tree and my 3 Wise Men up until Jan. 6th though. I know I will have the blues then as our homes look extra empty then.

I hope you are having a wonderful start to 2008!

Hugs ~

Although I love decorating for Christmas, I love the open feeling of my house when everything is put away. My house just doubled in size. I am saving my projects for February, I don't have the energy right now. Then it's redecorating the dining room and a powder room. I hope you share all of your projects with us.

Hello! Happy New Year to you! thanks for visiting my blog. I'm getting quite itchy about wanting to move things around in my home, it must be something in the air!

Happy New Year sweetie! I hope 2008 is a wonderful year for you and your family. I know what you mean about the house feeling bare after the Christmas decorations coming down. I spent all of Wednesday cleaning and redecorating! It feels like a fresh start to the year now. Have a terrific day!

Something about the New Year that makes you wanna rearrange, several bloggers are! It's been awhile since I've been here, but I had fun catching up, love the new look!

I really like the look of the mantle. The white pitchers are great - and who doesn't love barn stars? I know I do!
