I lied...

O.k. I lied...I promised I wouldn't even think of Christmas until Thanksgiving was past...well, that was until I went to my favorite once a month sale...Mustard Moon, in Carver, Mn! It was beautiful! I hung my newly purchased candy cane sign in my kitchen window as soon as I got home.. It is hand painted by a local artist (Suzanne, you are so talented!). You can't see it in the picture but she added red glitter to the red stripes in the candy cane. So sit back and relax and enjoy the sights!

I love the sentiment "Expect Merriement"! Love it!
Hope your Mom is better. Just let that 'ol Christmas spirit jump right in! Doesn't have to be December..maybe we need a little Christmas right here, right now. Even if it was July, when we need Christmas, we NEED Christmas!
Have a fun, FUN week-end.
Colleen

I just love "expect merriment" too. Just sounds so mary Engelbreit-ish. Sometimes I think it is too early for Christmas things and then time gets away from me and I end up doing it at the last minute. I think I will start next Friday and go out and cut the first batch of greens. I can't wait for Christmas in Blogville :>)

That sign is just too sweet not to hang up right away! I love it.

Oh Gail, I can see why you gave in to temptation to go ahead and hang this sweet new sign. I agree with Colleen about the wonderful saying of "Expect Merriment"! I enlarged the photo and you can see how she used the glitter. I also love the little red jingle bells hanging from one side. I too am really having to stop myself from starting on my Christmas decorating.

How is your mother doing? I so pray there is some improvement.

OMG another place I will have to visit. I was just at Buffalo Nickel Antique store and fell in love with just about everything there. I'm heading back in a couple of weeks. I found a couple of darling wool throws for the front porch. Thanks for sharing another awesome place.
Hope your mother is doing better.

Hugs - Karen

Oh my, I must go to Mustard Moon! It looks so wonderful. I'll need to look up their schedule. Their displays are wonderful, and I very much like the sign you got!

It's hard for me to NOT think of Christmas during this special Thanksgiving time, too. In our town, we have our big Christmas parade the weekend before T-giving! It's crazy!
