itchy!

I love the bittersweet I recently picked...but I am wondering if it was worth it! my poison ivy buster boots failed me! I have poison ivy behind both of my knees, which is painful and hard to walk around...I won't go into detail. It is not pretty. MENTAL NOTE: next year buy bittersweet at the farmer's market! Anyone know how to treat poison ivy?

Well, I see you an earlier blooger too "Miss 5:07am" !
I don't think we have poison ivy in Utha - we may have. I think I've seen berries like that. Must be careful! hope you knees are the bee's knees soon!

My husband got it awhile back, really bad. The only thing that worked was a steroid shot.

This is what works for me...run hot water over the blisters as hot as you can stand, this releases the histamine and will give you the feeling of scratching it without actually scratching. When you feel like you're getting some relief you should be good for up to 12 hours before you need to repeat. I found this solution on the internet and thought what the heck and it really worked wonders for me. I usually do it in the shower. I hope it works for you too. We have tons of poison ivy around here and I get into it now and then.
