It is August 21st??? right? look at the view out my front door! leaves! all brown and yellow and orange! what the? we have had a drought all summer and I think that is why the leaves have changed so early and fallen...I wonder what kind of a fall it will be? It finally started raining here four days ago and hasn't stopped...many people in southern Minn flooded out, lost lives and homes...our prayers go out to them.

It feels like Fall here. But it is going to get up in the 80s at the end of the week.
I see a few leaves changing here also. We have had a very dry summer, combined with a late freeze Easter weekend. So, the leaf experts are saying we won't have as colorful a fall as we usually do here in the Smoky Mountains in NC.

first off - yes, our prayers go up.. and prayers for our miners and families too....
2nd- you have a lovely walkway! & I just happen to LOVE fall!
Our basswoods are starting to drop but they always drop early especially when it's been so dry. I love fall but it's not time yet!! I'm an optimist so I'm predicting a long fall like we had last year. The summer has been fairly similar so maybe it will follow suit.
Your yard is not alone! I have noticed our gingko tree leaves already beginning to turn yellow. That normally doesn't happen until November! Then last night, I was at a friend's house, and her maple leaves are turning already.
