Ahhhhhhhhhhh August

August. It gently crept up on me...the grass is looking tired. the gardens too. and then I walk out my back door and find this! a beautiful big red Hibiscus flower! they are as big as dinner plates! beautiful...I love the little surprises that each new month brings.

What a gorgeous Hibiscus! Do they grow year round where you live? Or do you bring it inside in the winter?

I am thinking that my gardens look better now that they did a month ago....late zinnias and cosmos are opening wide....will do a post soon...I love Ahhhhhhgust!

My neighbor has a hibiscus exactly that same color.

Gail, that flower is so pretty!!! Nice to see some new fresh color in August. Things in our yard tend to get a bit lackluster in the month of August. Also wanted to mention that the picture from your summer porch is so pretty. I love your path of stone pavers, and the fence area. It's so cottagy looking - really lovely.
