Inspiration Friday...

What a beautiful picture...I have seen this done before, printing names on rocks and using them as place cards! so simple. It would make a beautiful summer time placing setting the next time we visit the lake...maybe some sticks in a bucket with marsh mellows on the ends and use it as a centerpiece?? I could go for a smore right about now...mmmmm. Have a great weekend everyone! Don't eat to many smores!

Summer...

It was 92 degrees today, Summer has arrived...I cut open a fresh watermelon this afternoon and couldn't resist taking a picture. It says it all...Stay cool everyone!

Which is your favorite...

I have subscribed to Country Living since the beginning (that really dates me...oops.) and it feels like I have always received Country Home...my friends and I have had this discussion, which one do you favor? for me it is Country Home....I like Country Living, but I think the photography in Country Home is beautiful! And Country Home seems more current and on top of the latest decorating trends..If I had to choose it would be CH...I know I know there are more pressing issues in our lives today but it is ok to escape every now and then...Which one do you favor?

Inspirational friday

Yeah! It's Friday...I found this picture in my Romantic Home Sewing book, I would love to curl up this weekend and read a book in this cozy bed...better yet, if it were up by the lake in a little cottage! perfect. I am going to try and relax this weekend and read a book, but first things first...gotta go junking tomorrow morning bright and early! the lake house

We just got back from a week at the lake...it was a great week full of campfires, boat rides, fishing, long walks, sandy feet and smores! It was so nice to have my Mom join us, she hasn't been there since my Dad passed away(this place was my Dad's passion) she had a great time! I am so blessed to have all of these people in my life....
