Since all that really matters to my husband and I are our family members I'd like you to meet a member of our family, he is our nephew Logan. He is very special to us...we are very close and see him almost daily. This little guy has had a lot to deal with...At the age of 18 months he was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes...he just turned 8!! and is living with the daily tasks of pricking his finger numerous times a day and getting insulin shots. He is at the point now where he is doing all of this himself...we are so proud of him! When he was diagnosed my husband and I took classes with his parents to learn how to give him shots and learn his needs. We were honored to do it! We all share in the hope that one day soon there will be a cure for juvenile diabetes...Love you Loggie!

A Book Review
Hello, it's Monday...another dreary wet day, Yesterday it was much of the same weather so my husband and I and his sister and two boys piled in the car and headed to the outlet mall. We had a nice lunch and alot of fun! my little nephew Logan is so funny... After shopping all day I was cold and tired, so I put on my jammies and climbed into bed and finally got around to reading the two books I had ordered. A couple weeks ago I had read Allison's blog at my cozy home about the books she had ordered and I was inspired...One of them was Where Women Create, and the other was called Romantic Home Sewing. I really liked both of them. But I liked Romantic home sewing the best, it was full of sewing ideas and patterns that I can't wait to try....from purses to lining old wire locker baskets...I will have to post my new creations as soon as I am finished. It was a nice way to end a fun but tiring day! take care, Gail

dreamin
It's a rainy blustery day today, It will only be 45 degrees ...what a difference a week makes! So, I am dreaming about my favorite place...it is a three hour drive from my house and we try to get there as much as possible...The Split Rock light house in Minnesota. Where is your favorite spot to visit??

What to do...
Since I am taking a hiatus from the antique business, my husband would like me to sell off the remaining objects of junk in our little one stall garage...but what to do with it??? actually use it as a garage? (it has never been one)or set up my old wicker couch and chair and use it as extra sitting area in the summers? or insulate it and use it as a studio year round...I have been thinking about making a room in my basement into a craft room, which would be nice but it gets a little chilly down there in the winter months. Any suggestions?
