the end of a great weekend...

Oh well here it is the end of a really fun weekend....we took my husband's sister and her three kids to the lake house for three days...the weather was gorgeous! we spent most of the time on the boat. Our nephew Logan was so excited to catch some fish, here he is smiling...he lost his two front teeth last week..soooooooooo cute! and the picture below is of his Mom and his big sister having fun on the boat! My husband and his sister and I have always been really close....we would do anything for her! She became suddenly single this year and it has been rough on everyone. This weekend was just what they needed! Love you guys! can't wait to go to the lake again with you!

Inspiration Friday...

I was visiting Linda's blog called Restyled home today and saw this great picture of a living room that she had posted. She had a fun post all about mirrors! I love the simplicity of this room...and the color or lack there of...I may have to go back to off white, creamy walls! I do have black accents in my room right now and my couch is pretty similar to this one...sounds like a room re-do may be in the future...but for now I hope everyone has a nice weekend! we are off to the lake!

Fun in the Sun!

It was hot here today! so we headed to the pool...Here is Addison with her big sister Karissa feeling very relaxed on their floatie...and at the end of the day we were all looking like a prune!

Strawberry Fields.....

It's strawberry season! I went to pick strawberries last week at a field near my home...There were strawberries as far as you could see! Fields and Fields of strawberries! I remember going to pick strawberries with my parents when I was young, I think every child should experience it! They hand you a tote when you arrive to put your berries in and show you which row you can pick from and away you go...The smell of strawberries filled the air. There were many people picking that morning but it was wonderfully quiet as everyone was caught up in their own picking methods,concentrating on getting the perfect berry! true BLISS...

You have to check out Matthew Mead's summertime website...He has great ideas. I especially liked the one about taking a black lantern from Ikea and painting it white. And then lining it with your favorite paper...Have a good weekend!

something sweet...

I forgot this in my post yesterday...I bought this sweet little key chain($5) at the Buffalo Nickel...A talented girl named Tamara makes them and sells them in her booth~ I just loved the flowers on this one, and the pretty initial carved into it...(which you can't see it in the picture). That was my only purchase yesterday...I guess I didn't need anything to badly, which is strange because I always find something at the Buffalo Nickel that I have to buy!

Visiting Day...

It was so much fun to go visit all my friends at the Buffalo Nickel yesterday(I used to be a dealer there). Addison had a great time! of course we had to get a picture of her in the middle of this beautiful display. Addison helped my friend Lynn rearrange her booth and had so much fun dancing with the owner of the Buffalo Nickel (Donna,she's the best!)...I also got a picture of Lynn's booth, I love that old porch swing...We found it when we were junking together at a flea market in Rochester MN... The shop looked fantastic and I miss having lunch with all the girls every Tues. We have to visit more often!!! After visiting and lunch, Addison was exhausted...so sweet!
