Visiting G-ma

Addison loves her great grandma, she knows she has been thru a lot lately...so she is extra smiley when g-ma holds her. She is such good therapy for my Mom! My Mom's eyes light up when we walk in the door, it just makes her day...My Mom lives in a assited living facility and little Addison is sure a day brightner for all the residents! I am so grateful I have these two lovely ladies in my life..

Snow Day!

Welcome to Minnesnowta!Here are some outdoor scenes, taken from the warmth of my home... 18 inches on the way. So grateful I don't have to travel today! just stay and in watch the snow fall, and bake!

Last Night

Did anyone watch the Oprah special last night? It was about her new school in Africa. The Girls. They had such confidence and positive attitudes. They all came from poverty and still they all had that sparkle, that hope in their eyes when they talked about their education. Where does that come from? most of them had lost their parents but chose to remember the good ...amazing children.I wish I would of taped it for my nieces and nephew's to watch.

Challenges

My Mom will be 88 years old this June, She was fourty when I was born...She is the strongest person I know, she has been through so much. She lost two children six months apart and they were only in their forties. She has battled breast and colon cancer and won! These pictures are of a luncheon I had for her and my three sisters on Mother's Day last year. We lost my Dad a couple months ago and it has been hard for her....I worry about her. I pray she will win this challenge also.

Storm of the century

Well, the storm of the century turned out to be about six inches...Here are my before and after pictures of my house, not to impressive huh? Oh well. it is Sunday and the roads are icy so it is a perfect time to craft...thinking of making a purse today or maybe chocolate chip cookies? And I can't forget it is Oscar night. I always get excited about watching the Oscars but for some reason lose interest 1/4 of the way thru it.
